How I Work

I like getting close to the real problem — talking to people, mapping the system around it, testing ideas early and changing direction when the evidence says I should.

Research & Evidence

I use research to reduce uncertainty, not to justify a decision I have already made. I combine interviews, usability testing and behavioural data, and look for the point where what people say and what they actually do begin to diverge.

Examples

Complex Systems

I start by understanding the system underneath the interface — users, workflows, data, dependencies and business processes. This helps me simplify the experience without pretending the complexity behind it does not exist.

0→1 Strategy

I am comfortable starting with an unclear problem rather than a defined feature. I turn assumptions into something testable, get it in front of real users early and use what happens next to decide what is worth building.

Examples

Prototyping in Code

I increasingly prototype in code rather than stopping at a representation in Figma. Working with real interactions, states, data and AI behaviour helps expose weak ideas earlier and makes collaboration with engineers much more direct.

Designing with Constraints

I treat constraints as part of the design problem, not something to work around later. Technical limitations, accessibility, regulation, legacy systems and sensitive data often shape the strongest product decisions.
