Core experience
- Designed and shipped AI-powered features for Oxford English Dictionary, an AI quotation finder and research assistant, now in production
- Redesigned the AI assistant's interaction model around real system latency, embedding it in the page instead of a modal so researchers keep working while queries run
- Led the redesign of Oxford Learning Link, a self-study and assessment portal for students and tutors across Higher Education titles; cut the access flow from eight screens to three
- Design to WCAG AA as standard, from colour and interaction patterns through to how designs translate into accessible front-end code
- Drive continuous UX improvement across the Oxford Academic platform, including major updates to premium dictionary products
- Lead UX discovery and analysis, present solutions to internal stakeholders, and define research tasks for the research team; build HTML and Figma prototypes
- Designed publishing analytics dashboard concepts, turning complex usage data into clear decision views
- Initiated and launched a documentation project mapping platform data and interfaces
- Work in agile cross-functional teams with product managers, engineers and researchers; contribute to platform-wide consistency across a complex product ecosystem

- Redesigned an internal B2B time-tracking and reporting system used across the company, cutting timesheet completion time by 65%
- Turned a client's concept into an AI-powered medical product MVP, running a six-hour stakeholder workshop through to a clickable prototype handed over for clinical validation and development
- Designed and streamlined a student placement system, improving workflow efficiency
Founding and startup projects
- Co-founded and led product and design for a web app offering developmental screening and personalised activity plans for children aged 2 to 8, taking it from concept to a UK pilot, backed by early friends and family investment
- Moved registration from the start of the screening questionnaire to the end, taking sign-ups from zero to 20 registrations and 9 purchases on the same paid placement
- Rebuilt the product around parent confidence and support after pilot research showed the real barrier was acting on guidance, not lacking it
- Designed the service beyond the screen: the physical activity box, its contents, inserts and printed materials, alongside packaging and logistics testing
- Designed and launched an AI-powered job search platform for the US market, owning the product end to end: marketing funnel, onboarding, and a dashboard with job matching and AI-assisted resume preparation
- Worked in constant dialogue with AI engineers to map where the models were reliable and where the product needed to compensate
- Built and led design for a multilingual mental health platform from zero to launch, supporting a community of 20,000+ members
- Built the design system and UI kits that other designers and external developers worked from, across six products
- Owned onboarding, email sequences and scripted dialogue flows, including a Telegram assistant for people managing stress
- Led a remote design team and defined product strategy end to end
- Lead brand, website, and digital and print materials for three London conferences; built the digital team's workflow and systems
- Seven years designing and laying out a print and online magazine, a visual school where nothing can be quietly fixed after publication; led UI/UX for the web portal and online shop
